Industry is an important pillar of China's economic development. There is a kind of struggle called self-improvement, and the development of Chinese industry is like that. China Industry Newspaper has written "Self-improvement - the mouthpiece of Chinese industry" in its own newspaper. "Self-improvement" is the essence of China's industrial revolution.
Chinese industry has been self-sustaining for decades. As a country that can build the world's fastest high-speed railroads and locomotives on its own, a country that can independently build manned space stations and complete deep space exploration, a country that can build aircraft carriers and shipboard aircraft on its own, and a country that can independently design and manufacture central processing units and supercomputers, China is worthy of the title of an industrial power. On the way of industrialization, from an agricultural country to a primary industrial country, then to an industrial power, until an industrial power, China has entered the final sprint stage. China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE) will hold the "2019 Economic and Trade Situation Report and Forum" on April 21-22, 2019 at the Beijing Convention Center to fully implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, the spirit of the 2018 Central Economic Work Conference and the spirit of the 2019 National "Two Sessions", implement a series of strategic plans and initiatives for economic and social development and reform proposed by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, with the purpose of serving China's industrial economy and social development, helping various industrial industries and enterprises to accurately understand policies, grasp the overall development situation and do their own work.

本次经贸热点论坛由中国工经联执行副会长兼秘书长熊梦主持。中国工业经济联合会会长李毅中做了题为《提高效益 有效投资 增强工业供给能力》的主旨发言。中国工业互联网研究院院长徐晓兰、商务部国际贸易经济合作研究院副院长曲维玺、中国人民大学重阳金融研究院副院长董希淼、中国社科院工经所所长黄群慧、国务院发展研究中心对外经济研究部研究室主任罗雨泽、京东数字科技副总裁傅彤、工信部赛迪研究院信软所所长张洪国、工信部信软司两化融合处副处长冯伟、清华大学全球产业研究院副院长李东红等来自国家级高端智库、科研院所和科技龙头企业的多个专家学者们就当前经贸热点话题做了精彩发言和互动。

年度经贸形势报告会是中国工经联为贯彻国务院领导同志的批示精神，落实好党中央、国务院提出的关于经济和社会发展一系列战略举措，帮助各行业协会和企业准确理解政策、把握发展大局、科学正确决策，每年定期组织举办的大型、高规格报告会。报告会旨在为政府与行业企业之间搭建“解读国家政策、探寻发展机遇、倾听行业声音、反映企业诉求”的权威性、高层次、公益性沟通交流平台。会前中国工经联要针对经济运行中的热点、焦点、难点问题进行重点调研，会上还要进行经济政策实施效果评估、经济走势研判等方面内容的问卷调查，形成调研分析报告，为政府、行业、企业提供决策参考。
报告会自2009年起已连续成功举办了十届，国家发改委、科技部、工信部、财政部、商务部、中国人民银行、国务院国资委、海关总署、银监会、国家税务总局等二十余个部委的近40位主要领导都曾应邀出席并作专题报告。报告会作为中国工经联的品牌公益活动，已成为各行业企业了解国内外经贸形势重要的权威信息平台。十年来，已有来自政府部门、行业协会、工商企业、研究机构万余名代表，聆听了共和国部长们的精彩报告。
